Inventory Update

I'm not sure how it happened, but apparently I blinked and five months have gone by since I've last written a blog post! Don't worry, all is well over here, and I still have a pulse. So what's been going on? Well, priorities have shifted a bit but work is still humming along. I'm learning how to manage both running a business and being a mom (while still finding time for myself). I've come to terms with the fact that it takes a good two hours of packing up before attempting to leave the house with a baby, and I now travel with a four bag minimum. You'd think with all that baggage, I'd be prepared for whatever occasion may arise, but what's most astonishing is there's probably only a 50% chance that I may actually have a spare diaper in any of those bags (mom of the year over here!). But, guaranteed I will have at least two tape measures and a handful of Home Depot receipts floating around my purse. That counts for something, right?!

So, there's your quick update on me, but let's talk about what's been going on in the studio. Well, we are busting at the seams! We have been working hard at building up our inventory for customizable pieces, and are at an all time high. I constantly go back and forth between whether I should focus more on having finished pieces available or more unfinished/customizable pieces. Well, sometimes the given circumstances answer that question for itself. Because we've been so busy with customizable pieces and client owned pieces, we've had limited time to work on producing finished products.

So what exactly do we have? Basically, everything! Regardless of the size, style or function you're looking for, chances are, we have it. Below are a couple of my favorites. To view our whole inventory, click on over to the Shop tab.

Various pieces by Basic-Witz

Buffets / Sideboards / TV Consoles

Mid-Century Modern

French Provincial

Desks / Vanities

It's been exciting to watch our inventory grow over these past several months. Every time the truck comes in with new pieces, I feel like a five year old kid on Christmas morning. That's not a bad thing either. Really, how many jobs allow you to relive one of the most nostalgic childhood feelings every week?! And while I do grow attached to some of the pieces, I love seeing them shipped out and knowing they're going to great homes.
