Happy Friday! I hope you all survived Halloween and are now full swing into holiday mode. I know I am...but more on that to come later. Over here it's been a week of firsts...first time using black on a furniture makeover, first time using General Finishes Milk Paint, first time I can remember a whole week in November being in the 60's (and 70's) and first time making a trip to Home Goods and walking out empty handed (gasp!). A couple weeks ago I showed you a French Provincial chest I just finished. That chest was actually a part of a full set I purchased. This past week I finished up the remaining pieces. I have always had a soft spot for French Provincial furniture. Maybe it's because growing up, my bedroom set was this style. Or maybe it's because I live under the impression that anything French must be fancy and sophisticated, so I can't help but to like it! Who knows?! But whatever the reason, I've always been drawn towards the curved lines, turned legs and ornate hardware that defines French Provincial furniture, so when I found a set at an auction a couple weeks ago, I was all about it!
