It's been a couple months since I kicked off the Bucktown project, and I thought we were due for an update. If you missed the first part, you can get up to date here. We've made some significant progress, and things are slowly starting to come together. We were hoping to have things wrapped up by late March so everything was settled by the time the baby arrived, but apparently the furniture industry doesn't work around due dates and when they say it takes 10-12 weeks for a couch to arrive, you wait patiently. Bucktown Bachelor Pad...Beautified! Part 1

I am really excited to be sharing this post with you today as it marks a new chapter for me. One of the main drivers that turned me to this whole furniture restoration business was my love for interior design. I don't know when it started, but I have always been drawn to beautiful interior spaces. When I was a little girl, I had notebooks full of my "blueprints" of homes I designed. I always wanted to buy the latest home decor magazines and remember sitting in my bedroom studying the pictures stressing over which home I should live in. (The struggles of an eight year old are rough I tell you!) In high school, I took an interior decorating class which I excelled at and proudly finished top of my class. Granted, this was high school and the majority of my classmates were probably just trying to fulfill some credit requirement and HomeEc was already filled. None the less, it was a proud moment...and made up for my C in Biology.
